I work in a cardboard factory now.
'Surely not!' You exclaim, 'For is there not anything so stereotypically dull as a box factory?'
'No!' I reply to your imaginary conversation. I work in a *cardboard* factory, we make the stuff that goes to box factories. On wild, windswept nights I lie awake and dare to dream of the hubris of working in a box factory. During my short time there I have learned many things about cardboard:
* Cardboard dust is explosive, you can use it to make low grade fireworks. You do not smoke in any sort of paper factory, or use anything that could spark.
* Cardboard glue is made of corn, yet get it on your skin and a day later your skin comes off.
* Cardboard is... card board. The usual 'box stuff' is corrugated cardboard which has to be made separate.
* Due to high turnover from injury and poor workers you can walk right in and ask for a job, and probably get one. even if you're a woman, getting evicted, without a CV or all three.
Computer access remains spotty, further updates as events warrant. (Also, holy crud, 10K deviations to sort through...)

Grandmother died
That's the final grandparent laid to rest, so that will hopefully b a break in departures for another 20 years. This will take some time to work through (not emotionally, I was prepared for that, it was a long decline.) since she was that kind of unknown famous you get for doing a lot of stuff people don't see as that important. Specifically she did a lot of bible work, about 4'000 student's worth, so it seems more than a few people are going to miss her. There's also considerable legal mess.
Not that I'm on here much as it is, my employment has consumed all of my arting time. So it goes. Keep well everyone.
Short update
Will be ignoring mostly everyone about everything, internet will be spotty during relocation. I shall be moving to a small apartment before the year is out. (It was either that or fork over half a million dollars for the land my flat was on. half a million! The property market here is mad!)
It's going to be... interesting trying to balance out and organize the new rent and habitation arrangements. Blarguagh I hate change.
Friend died
This will cause some uncertainty about my accommodations as they helped make rent and the flat is set to be demolished once one of us leaves by any means. Activity here will be reduced while funeral arrangements are being made and may be spotty thereafter if matters warrant. Do not inquire into what happened or how, I am answering no questions.
Felled by a vitamin tablet
Well several tablets. Started getting muscle spasms last week, figured it was poor sleep or something but they got worse and worse. Went to the hospital. Doctors says, he says, 'You've been taking Berocca vitamin tablets haven't you?' Yes, yes I have.
Turns out they don't have enough zinc in 'em to balance all the zinc they flush out with all the other vitamins. If you're low in zinc taking the tablets makes things worse.
Well there ya go, who knew?

Congrats on the cardboard factory job, hope you stay safe in there. Most particulates tend to be highly flammable and even explosive from what I remember [due to the large surface-to-weight ratio meaning a lot of it can burn in a very short amount of time].
That high turnover from injury sure is ominous...
10K deviations are a lot to go through, I hope your methods are more efficient than mine. Glad to see you are still hanging in there!
