Why bronies, why?

So I have a friend and she has two children. One is old enough to like ponies and not know boys aren't supposed to like it. She did not bother to keep track of his pony-liking antics.

Until yesterday.

Then she cam across him idly browsing the art gallery of a loved and talented brony artist, Kloudmutt. The guy has drawn some very nicely done pictures for the pony fandom.

And porn. Lots and lots and lots of porn.

Which was but two clicks away from a google search for FiM stuff. The fact that such stuff exists was rather a shock to the poor woman.


I myself find it amusing and slightly sad that there are in essence, two fan communities for FiM, the 'target' one that consists of little children and is composed of individuals who enjoy the series for what it is and relate to it on a basic level, and the bronies who more oft than not add adult things to it (Be that more complex plots, characterization, more serious themes, or, porn.)

I knew the porn was coming, when people started mentioning a following among older males, the immediate thought in my mind was that porn would be a vital part of it. I am somewhat disappointed to be proven right.
