Small and perfect

This is a day old quail chick that was unfortunate enough not only to get caught in today's storm, but also to blow straight through the chickenwire and across the lawn. She can't walk.

What do you do with a chick like this? Why you put it under a day old chicken chick, who also can't walk on account of being born the wrong way up. It is amusing to see them together, but as my brother is the one that lives with them, *he* takes the pictures, so you don't see that.

And yes, you can cook and roast quail chicks whole, they are eaten in pancakes.
