A song on happiness
Now life can get you down and life can be quite slack,
Aggravations, annoyances, people stab you in the back.
But the kiwi has a lesson that I think that you should learn,
That may help you cope with your life's recent downturn.
Because you can't hate the night,
If you live your life without light.
And your food won't make you squirm,
If you've only ever eaten worm.
And you won't feel alone,
If that's all you've ever known.
Kiwi have no reason to be happy but see,
We just have no idea what else to be!
So kiwi never worry and kiwi never care,
Because you'll never feel what's always there.
So if you're always feeling upset and you're always feeling sad,
And you're always angry all the time is it really so bad?
Because you can't hate the night,
If you live your life without light.
And your food won't make you squirm,

WHich is a good thing, becuase I find the kiwi rather endearing. Of course, I'm a herpetologist, and we generally go for the creatures other people find frightening. I once had an undertaker tell me, 'I can't believe you can handle snakes. I find them terrifying!' Yet he's able to work with decomposing bodies all the day long. Sheesh.
